HI Team,

I am new to SAP MRS 8.0, I want to know the basic appointment scheduling process and its configuration step to integrated SAP DBM 8.0 Service process.

Pot and capacity planing and its configuration steps to achieve standard business functions.

Currently I am referring to the configuration guide of SAP DBM MRS 8.0

Hi Manoj,

Basic Appointment process in DBM 8.0 start with creation of appointment with DBM 8.0 there is a guided process to create an appointment.

With the new DBM 8.0 SAP has released Web UI, where in the Appointment is created through the guided process.

Use the standard DBM Web UI "pp_create_appointment"

HI Sachin,

Thanks for the information. Now when I am using the following DBM WUI /DBM/APP_CREATE_APPOINTMENT I am getting an error saying mandatory parameter sold to party is missing.

And i don't see any field on the screen where i can enter sold to party data.

Thanks & Regards,

Yes i possibly feel there are some more services which are not activated in the system.

Try using Transaction NWBC in SAPGUI & then follow the various Applications to to reach to appointment booking.

Once NWBC opens follow the service advisors cockpit. /DBM/SERVICE_ADVISOR.

Step by step it will first ask you to search vehicle / customer & then once vehicle is searched you can continue to proceed to appointment application to book an appointment

Ensure the master data is set up for the vehicle & customer to be able to search in the service advisors cockpit

Ensure you have all the roles of the assigned to your user id these application appear in the your users menus.

Hi Sachin,

I can now create an appointment using the NWBC transaction code and now would like to know more about capacity planning and how to do resource planning in SAP MRS 8.0.

Also i see that for SAP MRS 8.0 in June 2014 there is now sp07 released, and we are using sp06 do we need to update our service pack to 07. I would like to know new features of SP07.

Thanks & Regards,

Manoj Bind

Hi Manoj,

There is no need to upgrade MRSS to SP07 as that SP07 released is not based on DBM, it is based on ECC.

MRSS 8.0 SP07 only has the integration with DBM 8.0
