Adding consumer role

Hi,

From webUI I am not able to add the consumer role to a business partner if the business partner already is created in another role (e.g. general, prospect). How is this solved? We want to distinguish between a prospect and a consumer. When a prospect does a purchase he/she will become a consumer and we need to add the consumer role.

Did you check the account lifecycle? Status and Life Cycle Data - Business Partners - SAP Library or the role exclusion groups? maybe someone already configured this and that's why you can't.

I have already checked that. However, I just found a note 1825479, which I guess answer my issue.

Thanks for sharing your finds and I'm glad you solved the issue.

I guess I didn't understand you question, there are different lectures about "I can't  assign a role to a BP" . It would helped if you posted what did you check already
