hi,

We are working on integration of ESS bp with EP.

We are thro with deployment of BP, System creation and defining its properties and user mapping details.

We got the initial logon screen too, but when logged on using the Administrator userID and PWD ( which is mapped)

we got the following error:

"You dont have the authorization to start service sap.com/pcui_gp~xssutils/XssMenu"

Can anyone help us on this.

This is most likely because your mapping user in backend R/3 doesn't have enough authorization to run ESS applications.

HI Zhang,

Do you know what is the procedure of giving authorization to the mapped users in back end?

I Would also like to know how to create personnel number to the mapped uesrs in back end as it has to be done in order to run ESS applications.

There is a backend role SAP_ERP_EMPLOYEE which needs to be assigned to all ESS users in R/3.

You can use PA40 and PA30 to create and modify HR personal.

Also you should make sure the security team generate the profile for SAP_ERP_EMPLOYEE role.

There are lot of people having this problem.I found one forum in which i have reffered the user to the following locations.

it is not a solution but it a road map to Analyse the problem.
