Hi experts,

The system generates 9 production orders for the coming weeks:

WEEK 1

1 production order for FERT1

1 production order for FERT2

1 production order for FERT3

WEEK 2

1 production order for FERT1

1 production order for FERT2

1 production order for FERT3

WEEK 3

1 production order for FERT1

1 production order for FERT2

1 production order for FERT3

How I can get the system gives me automatically the following sequence:

WEEK 1

3 production orders for FERT1

WEEK 2

3 production orders for FERT2

WEEK 3

3 production orders for FERT3

Cordero,

As suggested by Michael Manoj with combining production orders you can generate 1 production order in separate step not at the moment of when you convert your planned order to production order.

This functionality is available in industry solution ECC-DIMP for which you need to activate some components above ECC 6.0.

Please refer below SAP Note for further help 874471 - Additions for installing or activating ECC-DIMP on ECC 6.0

Hello Arnulfo

MRP always plans each material independently, therefore, it will not check if there are orders already created for FERT1 when creating orders from FERT2.

I think on two solutions for this issue:

1 - Create 3 different planning calendars with different periods, one for each material, so that MRp always creates planned orders on the planning calendar periods. If you need 3 different orders, you must use a maximum or fixed lot sizing to limit the order size.

2 - Let MRP create the orders and use capacity leveling to dispatch the operations on different weeks.

Hello Cordero,

If 'lot size procedure' solution not works for you then you could go for 'Combine Production Order' scenario.

Transaction Code: MILL_OC

Using this transaction you can combine three production orders and a combined order will be created from three individual orders using same operations and components. This procedure can be used if your FERT materials for the week are same.

At the time of confirmation, GI will be posted against the combined order and GR will be against individual orders. Instead of production orders, you can combine the planned orders also and this transaction will generate the required production orders.

For more information on 'Combine Production Order' refer below link

Hi cordero,

System never creates production orders..It creates planned orders after MRP run. You need to convert the planned orders to production orders...

Now if you want one production order per week you need to maintain the lot size as WB in material master in MRP 1 view as already suggested by Kiran...

So when you do MRP run system will generate one Planned order per week which can be converted to Production Order...

Thanks

Kumar

Cordero,

If you are converting planned order to production orders then you might be got 3 planned orders per week based on lot size procedure assigned to FERT material in MRP1 view so use a lot size Weekly lot size(WB in Standard) which would club all requirements in a week and creates a one planned order which could be converted to 1 production order per week.

Hi KK,

Your answer is right,  but I need to know how I can put together the production orders of the same o similar materials,  maybe the production orders are for one week or for more o less days, for this reason I can not use the lot size

Cordero,

Please note if you wish to have one production order against multiple planned orders it is not possible as per Standard SAP.

You can convert to each planned order into individual production order not to single production order.

Only option is to have you to determine which lot size procedure suitable for your materials to club one week requirements to create single planned order hence you can have one production order per week.
