LSO - automatic confirmation, whithout HCM Renewal?

Hi.
I wonder if there is any way you can implement new LSO features from Business Function HCM_LSO_CI_4, like "Automatic confirmation and follow-up feature for e-learnings" whithout having to implement HCM Renewal 1.0 as well?
