business area has been deleted, why it's showing in a " error message " ?

Hi ,

I've faced a strange problem during MIGO  for subcontracting with 101 mvt type

- it appears with  " ICPL business area does not exist "

ICPL , the deleted business area.

message no. is  Message no. FN031 ...

I've cross checked all the necessary assignments like , OMJ7 , business area a/c .. and also checked , T134G , T134H tables , but nowhere ICPL exists .

what should I do to resolve it ?? ,

One , peculiar behaviour I noticed -

when I'm doing simple GR wrt a PO with 101 mvt. type by MIGO , it doesn't display that type error message .

But , when I wanted to GR ( by same mvt. type 101 through MIGO) , after doing 541 transfer posting to provide the components to the SC vendor , that time only that error message has been arrived . 

why it's behaving like it ?? ... n what should i do now to resolve this problem ??

Hi munabhai

   Now you are throwing some light of your process you done...

   1. Mov type 101 is for receipt of material from Vendor is the first step for any Vendor consignment

   2. 541 is a mov type used for making provision transfer and only can be done after you received your consignment from vendor (Mov type 101)

   3. So..system will through msg if steps are wrong

   4..Reverse provisional entry by 542 and then try as per steps....

Hi,

At the time of subcontracting material receipt posting some processing costs will be charged. For this costs contained cost elements and for this cost element you have to assign cost centre. So check the cost centre assignment for the cost element in OKB9. To refer which GL account you have assigned check the transactions key BSV & FRL in obyc.

Have you deleted BA from Consolidated BA in Business area assignment?

yes , delete from consolidated BA assignment portion .

Hi Munabhai,

The possible reasons are

1. Check the material master which division you have maintained. For this division with the combination of plant whether BA assignment has deleted or not in OMJ7.

2. Check the assignment of cost element in OKB9. Whether the cost centre of the BA has assigned it.
