Table fields belong to which data source

hi

Actually i am having table related fields but unable to find fields belong to which data source can anyone tell me easy solution how to find this actually i am seeing field name and checking in table rsts field and finding datasource but it slong procedure any onw can tell me the solution how to find out table fields belong to which data source

Hello,

Its difficult to find the exact table mapping to any datasource. If you to check in net .

Otherway is to check ROOSFIELD table , pass the table field name and find the corresponding logical data source which fits your requirement

Actually i am doing the same thing but for some of the fields i am not getting any datasource and one more thing i think this is difficult task make sure all fields in particular data source would you suggest me nay alternate solution

Hello

You should not check for the all the fields, take the important fields as per your requirement from the table & check for the datasource for that. If you find a datasource , check how many fields in tht datasource suffices your requirement

you may not get all the fields that is available in the table in a single datasource. For that you will have to enhance or find another datasource

There is no such limit.

Same fields be part of multiple data sources.

Please check your technical specs and understand requirement properly.

Later start working on it.

Actually whats your table name?

take functional help and find the data source based on table names.

With help of field you can't judge which data source will suits your needs.

Hi,

Each and every time when we receive the requirement this activity need to be performed,

I personally use below 3 ways to find Datasource

1) By using ROOSFIELDMAP table in BW    

2) By using ROOSFIELD table in ECC

3) Find Table and field in Help.sap for datasource ( Many times SDN also provide input)

Hi,

go to the table - SE11 -> give the table name - RSOSFIELDMAP ->  select execute -> again select contents -> give the filed name or info objects name - execute it.

now it will show how many data source are using the above fields or info objects

after executing OLTP source filed you can find the data source name
