Debugging of Additional Properties

Hello community,

I have a little question here. Is there a way to debug additional properties java script functionality within Design Studio 1.3? For example there is a way to debug component.js within the browser. But what is about Design Studio and additional properties?

Thanks,

Emil

As you probably found out, DS will suppress JavaScript errors in APS and a lot of times in the design canvas.

I have 2 crude methods that I use.

For the APS (Additional Properties Sheet), you can right-click -> Properties, grab the URL, and open in a standard browser however no properties will be set/get since that happens with special attached functions in the embedded browser in DS. In other words, functions are not fired like 'componentSelected' and your setter/getter properties won't fire of course. You'd have to simulate those events manually in your JS Console in F12 tools. That's one approach depending on what you are debugging.

Another more crude method is wrapping try{ }catch(e){alert(e);} around code that you suspect is problematic.

    Thanks Michael,

my previous solution has also been the usage of alerts. I just thought probably there is a better and more comfortable way to do that.
