Extraction Methods from ECC to Staging Database

Hi All,

I have the requirement of extracting the data from ECC to staging database using data services 4.1.

What is the best method of extraction? I have heard about extractors and abap data flow. But have very limited knowledge on those.

Please let me know when extractors and abap data flow can be used, what's the pros and cons.?
