My client has a requirement to grant ME52N (PR Change) access to buyers with a restriction that they should not be able to add or delete a PR item. How can this be acheived.

Please refer my earlier replay in this case you are giving access to vendor and the same can be restricted only through authorisation .

Hello All,

This is not entirely clear. Is the requirement not to change the PR after some validation process, is it for requisitions coming from the MRP, are the requisitions split by document types and so on....

Imagine the following situation : the PR is created and for any valid reason, there is a necessity to change it...

Why should the buyers be restricted ? Is there a validation when the PR is converted into a PO ?

Dear Iqbal

This can be restricted  through authorization

in this you can restrict by activity- create, display   so no user able to change the requisition.

Hi,

Please check PR release strategy with release indicator as "can not be changeable" can fulfill your requirement. Refer the thread:

If the restriction is user specific, you can check the option of transaction variant. Create a transaction variant in SHD0 for ME52N and deactivate the deletion button. You can activate the variant globally or  to specific users also, if required. You can also maintain the material, short text, account assignment and item category fields as non-editable in the variant, so that the user can not add a new item. Refer the doc: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40d1443e-0184-2c10-c68d-c612f771f...
