Runtime error in i18n

Hello experts,

Upon entering the Tcode I18N option  -> I18N Customizing -> I18N System Configuration, it is coming with the following error.

What should i do next as i was in stuck??

Should i copy the whole folder or the specific .PAT file only?

you could copy only .PAT file into EPS/in

Hi Praveen,

please check if the parameter "zcsa/installed_languages" is either correct or not.
Maybe it got corrupted due to some reasons.

The parameter defines the allowed logon languages. Each character represent the SAP internal language E = English, S = Spanish, ...

An example

The parameter is defined as "ES.........................................................ES" where the periods represent ~200 white spaces and the string ends again with ES.

In this case you have to change it to "ES" and restart the server. This should solve the problem with RSCPINST.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I changed the letter A (Arabic) in parameter "zcsa/installed_languages" and then restarted the server. now it is ok.

Now, can we add any languages i18n? Means, if i want to add Latvian language. So i have to copy the "LV " folder from cd and make a copy of that to trans\eps\in?

Hi Praveen,

if you would like to add a new language to your system then you have to perform below steps:

1. Add the language with report RSCPINST (I18N). Use language key 'LV' here.
2. Adapt the parameter zcsa/installed_languages. Use language key 'Y' here. This parameter is case sensitive.
3. Implement the translations as described in SAP note 1508122.

Please download the media according to note #330104 and then provide the path of the media file in transaction SMLT.

You should put Language file to directory trans/EPS/in
