How to update UI with a new value after DB Update

I would like to know how UI will get updated automatically when there is a transaction happens on SAP.

After Jen closes the invoice in SAP, the UI gets updated with a new value.

I coudnt able to figure out how UI consumes the data automatically, May be I missed in the course can you please me here?
