SAP B1 9.0 pl15 upgrade error

I'm having problems upgrading from 9.00.056 PL04 to 9.02.250 PL15. There's some issue with Common Database, I just cannot catch what is it since I cannot find any proper error message.

Upgrade wizard shows Upgrade Results: Errors

Component name: Common Database

If I click the Details link it shows loads of passed objects last one being SCABApplCabSCAB0. I don't know where to start to solve this problem?

    Hi Jani,

Have you run the pre-upgrade check task from the Remote Support Platform before trying to upgrade ?

Also, from what version are you upgrading ?

    Regards,

    Johan

Are you taking a backup of the SBO-COMMON database through the upgrade wizard? Instead take a copy through SQL Management Studio and tell the wizard to not take a backup.

    Hi Jani,

I think there is a problem in the SBO-Common database probably caused by bugs or application error in SAP or SQL.

I suggest you to delete SBO-Common database and then recreate it by running upgrade process again.

Before delete the SBO-Common, take a backup first so that you can use it in the escalation message to SAP Global Support.

    Rgds,Jimmy

    Hi,

    Please check below points:

1). Start the Autorun.exe/Upgrade.exe by right mouse click and use option 'Run as administrator', even if current user is an administrator on the local Windows machine.

2). Do not install/upgrade through the system/network folder, but copy it to local drive and then run the setup.

3). Remove the MDF and LDF files of the old SBO-COMMON db and the SBO Demo db from the SQL server backup directory if there's any before installing/upgrading.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Nagarajan

      Hi,

I suggest one simple solution: delete SBO-Common and MDF/LDF files, run installation patch with only the System Database option selected that it will be recreated, then upgrade to pl15. Do it in the test environment first and don't forget backup old sbo-common.

      Regards.
