Employee submit leave request on behalf of other employee

Hi Experts,

We are implementing ESS/MSS on EHP 7 using UI5 technology. I would like to ask about on behalf of functionality.

We have special case, employee is able to submit leave request on behalf of other employee. Is it possible to cover in ESS role?

Please advise on how to cover this case.

    Managers can submit leave on behalf of their employees as part of the manager role see

    Employee Self-Service on Behalf in MSS (WDA) - Manager Self-Service in SAP NetWeaver Business Client - SAP Library

    It might be technically possible to assign or attach the same functionality to employees that are not managers however this is not to my knowledge standard ESS functionality and might even require modification to achieve - in addition those employees may need specific authorizations - this can have implications for other services available to the employee - particularly if the employee also has SAP GUI access or has the potential to get SAP GUI access
