Maintenance BOM Vs Equipement/Functional Location BOM

Hi Gurus,

It has been a long time since we last exchanged. So, I have some questions for you :

What the difference between a Maintenance BOM and an Equipment/Functional Location BOM ?

What are the main BOM categories used in PM  ?

What is the real use of each BOM category and what is the need to have 2 categories for the same equipment ?

It may seem soo easy, but the choice is not really clear for a complex system.

Maintenance BOM is the term used to represent some different categories/usages of BOM in PM area. The BOM Categories used are:

1) Functional Location BOM

2) Equipment BOM

3) Material BOM in PM area,
