SAP IBP - Safety Days Ind" possible values & Static Safety Stock

Hello Experts,

I am not sure about possible values for "Safety Days Ind" attribute of Location product master data type. I am trying to test static safety stock by maintaining value in "Safety Stock" in Location product.

I have 2 questions -

1) What are the possible values of "safety Days Ind" and significance of each values

2) How value in Safety stock(from location product master data) is copied to safety stock KF Inventory Target - is system doing it automatically during supply run based on "Safety Days Ind" or We need to run IO operator to populate Inventory Target KF.
