Planning layout should pop after variable values are populated in drop down variables

Hi All,

I am working on BW IP 7.3 . I've a requirement where the planning layout should pop up after the user selects values using drop down box. Please let me know how to dynamically get the layout after the drop down values are selected.

I've created drop down boxes with variables and Analysis web item with data provider ( BEX query name). when i execute the WAD template , It goes on a endless loop trying to get all the data in the planning cube. Help is appreciated.

    Hi Satish,

    I am not sure what you want to reach with your solution.

    Do you want to have a variable selection in one Template and then open a different Template?

    Is there anything else in your first template where you have the variable selection? How do you populate the drop downs?

    or do you want to show a refreshed table after drop down selections?

    as far as I know, there is no action to be performed after a drop down selection.

    So probably you have to create a button which the user presses to open a new template.

    There are commands available to open new templates or switch template.

      You're bang on the buck!!..i am trying to rebuild the existing BPS layout.

      I've already built using the standard and easy way but would like to have this functionality so users are not far from comfort zone. Let me try to do the way you've explained. thanks for help.
