Installation of Trial Version

Hi

I am installing the trial version of Netweaver as mentioned below.

ABAP_Trial_7_02_SP11_Win_64_bit_Version_3_387_GB

I am installing it on Windows 7 Professional and followed all the steps I got 1 warning saying that not compatible OS version

in system requirement it says

• Operating System Windows 7 64 bit Professional (unsupported platform for Trial Installation) or Windows Server 2008

So it look like quite unfortunately I am on wrong OS and if I would have been on XP probably it would have gone through.

Is their any way to fix this error message

Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/.

Now When I look into logs directory "C:\sapdb\data\wrk " No file with name MAXDBRuntimeForSAPAS_install.log

Also when I look into "C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/." there are so many logs which one to look at

And I could not find the sdbinst.log

Hi Ashok

Just do the full restart and then try again on the same phase, if the problem persists kindly attach the full log

Hi Ashok

1. On your OS have you disable the firewall & UAC ?

2. SAP SIDADM & SAPSerivceSID user are as parts of local admin group?

Could you  refer the SAP KBA for error message "

ERR:  Service check failed

ERR:    cannot open "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers\etc\services" to write: No such file or directory"

Is this a problem because I disable it avoid any port blocking issue by Firewall

Before starting the SAP installation you have to do prerequisite steps in that one of the step to disable the firewall & Windows UAC
