We have created consolidation model in embedded using three basic models Cons,Ownership and rate and we have setup Business rules like Currency Translation,Carry forward and Intercompany booking and these setup works as expected so far.
There is another optional infoprovider that can be attached in model creation screen called Source. In one of the consulting note 2240898 , source infoprovider need to same structure as cons infoprovider and we did create one with similar structure as cons.
Questions

Hello Sami, what would be the advantage of using Source? The Consolidation model can be entered as a Composite Provider, so that the actual data infoprovider is added inside. And there is a field to enter the Infoprovider where conso data is going to be written. I don't understand which scenario could Source be useful for. Am I missing something?

Sergio

The Source InfoProvider is a "normal" InfoProvider i.e. not a real-time InfoProvider, typically containing the Actual figures from ERP systems. Either this is your reporting InfoProvider or one that you only use for staging. The idea is not to copy data to the Conso Cube but use the Source cube data directly. Essentially this is the same concept as when you do planning with a MultiProvider containing an Actual cube and a Real-time cube.
