Prerequisite for installing the stand alone version of Crystal Reports 2011

What is required to be installed before you can use the upgrade to Crystal Reports 2011, version 14? Do we need some version of Microsoft VS. We have a stand alone computer that I am trying to upgrade. It goes through the install, and shows that all the objects installed except Crystal Reports and there is a red X next to the box. Not sure what's going here, but it shouldn't be this difficult to get help. My specs; Windows 7, 64 bit machine. What do I need to do to get the upgrade to complete.

    Hi Marjorie,

I would like to have some more information:

    1. Are you in the process of developing a .NET Application which would view a Crystal Reports?

    2. What are you trying to install MS Visual Studio or Crystal Reports Designer 2011?

    Regards,

    Vinit

    Hi Marjorie,

    Check PAM and Installation Guide

Although SAP Crystal Reports 2011 is supported on 64-bit operating systems, it is only available

    as a 32-bit application.

    • Wheninstallingadatabasedriver for SAP Crystal Reports2011on64-bitoperatingsystems,ensure

that you install the 32-bit version. A 32-bit application cannot use a 64-bit driver.
