SAP System Monitoring App showing "Network Error"

Hi All,

I am trying to configure SAP system Monitoring app for my
ABAP systems.

Settings in SAP system Monitoring App are:

Mode Settings: Live Mode

Connection Mode: Gateway

Server name:  SOLMAN IP

Port:  8000

User:  admin user

Password:

Service name: techmon

Service URL: sap/opu/odata/aigw

I am not able to access this app outside my company’s network. It is showing:

  “Network Error”

Can anyone help me with how can I use this app outside my company’s network??

If it can be done by using SAP router, please help me with
the configurations to be done??

I believe you can do this using SAProuter or public IP(not at all a good option)

Does your company not offer a VPN solution for you mobile devices, so then you are on the network?

A web dispatcher is also another option.

Billy,please can you help me that how can we use one web dispatcher for number of systems??

we are using wbdispatcher to access our portal,can you tell me how can it be used to access solman as well??

You would set it up in a similar fashion as your portal system, I assume you leverage SSL connections on the dispatcher so if the firewall on the public facing side and the DMZ has the needed ports opened and you create a public DNS record you could see the TechMon mobile....just remember to reconfigure your mobile device to point to the public record/IP vs directly at SolMan so it works on prem and off prem.
