BPC Transport Deletion

Hi

We are trying to create a BPC Deletion request to delete some models/dimensions already transported to the TEST system.

Transport connection -- More types-- BPC deletion --- Select objects.--- Transfer selections

Grouping - only necessary objects

Collection mode - collect automatically

Display mode - List

However, under the collected objects it does not show any models/dimension or other objects but only the top node ENVIRONMENT. We should be able to select or deslect the objects we want to send for deletion like the way we do in Normal transport.?

Please advise if this is correct procedure..?

To confirm if our understanding is correct

If we need to delete a model/dimension from target system, do we need to collect that model/dimension in deletion transport from source system and once the transport is imported in target system..the model/dimension will get deleted from target.

Then it should be deleted from Source system as well, a fresh normal transport to be sent. .Is this how deletion transport works.?

    Hi,

    Your logic is right if it is purely BW object. But in BPC, objects will be created and deleted from Web (Admin). System does not prompt any transport request for changes in BPC objects. You have to use BPC Deletion to collect deleted objects.

    Transport connection -- More types-- BPC deletion --- Select objects--> Select Environment under which objects deleted.

    In the right window it gives you the list of all deleted objects under selected Environment, select whatever you want to transport.
