bucket authorization object, how to manage it with PFCG

Hi To all,

I'm quite new in the PPM world and I'm currently facing an issue with authorization objects. I created a custom user Role, starting from SAP_CPR_USER.

I would like to add the bucket object authorization : if I assing this tole to a user, it won't be enabled to select buckets .

How can I manage it? I've tried to search on the internet , finding something on RPM , but did'n get the logic, neither I've understood how to set it eventually.

Thanks a lot!

please explain what you mean by "enabled to select buckets". If you mean that the user should not be able to edit a bucket (or display) then you can control it via going to bucket (or portfolio) details -> Miscellaneous -> Authorizations -> User Role and assign the desired role.

Please note that the authorizations are inherited downwards, i.e. you don't have to assign the same authorization to every bucket in the hierarchy - assigning to the portfolio or top-level bucket will do the job.
