"R" Integration in Hana

Hi

is it possible to process 'r' calculations in-memory in hana?

if i look at the diagram of the sap hana r integration, it seems that all data is passed from hana to the rserve / r runtime and results back to hana

so i thinks this is slower than the PAL functions.

    I don't think so. Currently it's impossible.

    My colleague has made a comparison between R and PAL using k-means and the result is PAL is about 5 times faster than R. But R has more libraries than PAL...
