Dear Experts,

Clients requirement is if the employee is coming late for 3 times then mark absence for half day. I have written PCR to cumulate the 3 days but stuck how to create absence using PCR? Is there a way it can be achieved and the absence should deduct as LOP no quotas will be deducted.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks,

Bhabagrahi

Hi Bha,

Creating absence record in IT2001 is not a big issue and I as you it's the scenario I will discuss in part 2 of my automatic absence generation (

But what I don't understand is why you what to create record in IT2001? Let me assume an EE comes late 1 hour in 3 days of a week or month. What you to create a half day absence record of which one? what you will do with the others?

You know time records are what we want keep the original all the timeand we should not touch or change them either automatically (by time evaluation and PCR) or manually!

You there is quota I recommend just deduct half a day quota or if you would deduct form EE's salary just do this and don't touch any actual time records.

If I am not clear please explain the requirement by a sample.

Hi Omid,

Thanks for your prompt response, Let me clear my requirement first - If employee is late for 3 times in a month then on the 3rd late mark it will deduct half day's salary of the employee. Now, I was wondering how this will happen?

Hi Bha,

I have seen this requirement in some threads on SCN and I think it's common in India. I am not sure if there is any standard solution for this issue in India but a simple solution is count number of days with delay and in third one generate a wage type to deduct in payroll side.
