Extract BEx QUery to flat file option

Hi,

I want to be able to extract data to a flat file from a BEx Query. We are on SAP BW 7.3.

I am aware I could do this via APD or use Open HUB.

Is anyone aware of any alternatives?

Hi Leo,

You can accomplish this via APD yes but there are a few things to remember.

1.) This will not work with non-cumulative key figures

2.) When utilizing BEx queries in APD if the output is large the performance will be quite slow. Try utilizing Cubes or DSO's to get the data that you need.
