Hi Experts,

We have installed SAP Business Objects Analysis, Edition for Microsoft Office (Version 1.4.7.3074) with required patch. But while trying to connect to SAP BW system after skipping SAP BO BI Logon screen, we are getting below error.

LOCATION             CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode

ERROR                  partner ‘123.456.789.10:1234” not reached

DETAIL                  NiPConnect2: 123.456.789.10:1234

SYSTEM CALL       connect

ERRNO                 10060

ERRNO TEXT        WSAETIMEDOUT: Connection timed out

Also if we try to connect to BO server using SAP BO BI Logon screen, it displays error: “Error while checking availability of SAP Business Objects BI platform system”

Please note that we are facing this error only from a particular system. From other system, we can easily connect to BO server or BW server.  We are using Microsoft Office 2013.

Can you please let us know which settings do we need to change to stop this error?

Thanks in advance!!!

Can you logon to that BW system from the SAP Gui?

Can you logon to the BI platform as well, independent from Analysis Office?

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for reply.

Yes, we can login to BW and BI platform independently from the same system.

For the local connection (BW) - check your saplogon.ini file - see this old thread:

For the BI Platform, could you share a screen shot using the camera icon of what you are typing in at the logon screen?

Hi Tammy,

I copied a fresh saplogon.ini from the system where Office Analysis is working to erroneous system to the path C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common. But no luck.

Also here I am attaching screenshot of the logon screen for your reference.

Hi Animikh - I am at a loss; could it be a network connectivity with that particular machine?

Hi Animikh,

For your BOBJ Webservice try using the fully qualified name  ie.
