Bind UDFs from RDR1 to UDFs from OITM

Hello Community,

I added UDFs to OITM and UDFs with the same names to the RDR1.

If a new Item is selected on the Sales Order the UDFs get of cause not filled automatically.

So I tryed to link the fields:

SAPbouiCOM.Form oForm = WUD_Standard.SBO.Forms.Item(pVal.FormUID);

SAPbouiCOM.Matrix oMatrix = (SAPbouiCOM.Matrix)oForm.Items.Item("38").Specific;

Column oEC = oMatrix.Columns.Item("U_Ausfuehrung");

oEC.DataBind.SetBound(true, "OITM", "U_Ausfuehrung");

Here I get the Error that the field is not User Defined and can not be added.

Is it possible to link the UDFs?

Or do I have to use the UI API for this task?

    Hi Thomas,

    Why are you binding a field of the "header" table (OITM) on the items matrix? If you create the field in ITM1 the binding will occur automatically. Is this not possible in your case?

    • Hi Thomas,

      :facepalm: You're absolutely right (must be the lack of coffee). I should pay more attention to the names of the tables.

      If you want to bring some information from the master data, you have some options:

      - You can add a formatted search (in the invoice grid) that fills the information based on the item that was selected;

      - Use code to capture the Validate event of the ItemCode column and perform the filling of the information via the UI (this should be ok since you're only filling one value at a time).

      Best regards,
