Installation guide for SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 5 with SAPinst (new install)

Hello,

I am looking for Installation guide for New Installation of SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 5 on SAP NetWeaver 7.02 in Service Marketplace. I have navigated various links, but I did not find the document in marketplace. I do not know if it exists anymore in new SAP portals.

This document even does not have installation procedure in it!! It just says:

"Proceed as described in the documentation Installation Guide – SAP Systems Based on the Application Server <ABAP | Java> of SAP NetWeaver on <Operating System>: <Database> at http://service.sap.com/sltoolset Software Logistics Toolset 1.0Software Provisioning Manager 1.0."

I go to this link: http://support.sap.com/sltoolset and I do not see any guide to use for New Installation of SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 5 on SAP NetWeaver 7.02 using SAPinst.

Can anyone help me to find the right place to download the installation guide I am looking for?

Hi Sujit,

You're absolutely correct that currently it is very difficult to find all the guides you need for installation or upgrade. The old paths for this fortunately still work, although it can be difficult to find them by navigating links from the support portal. The good news is that I have seen a beta for the new help portal, and it is going to have easy and obvious links to installation guides. Yes, finally! 🙂

Meanwhile, though, here is what you are looking for. Go to http://service.sap.com/instguides. From there, for your application, drill into SAP Business Suite Applications -> SAP ERP -> SAP ERP 6.0 -> Installation. On that page you'll find the Master Guide, and then a long list of links to the individual guides. For your case, select Installing SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 on SAP NW 7.0 EHP2. This page will look familiar, as you've already been here, according to your post. You'll need the guide from here that you already downloaded. But you must additionally select the link for Software Provisioning Manager 1.0.

From that link, select your database platform. For instance, if you're installing an ABAP system on SQL Server, select MS SQL Server, then ABAP. This will open the guide you're missing and need in a new tab.
