changing the status of stock through edi

Hello,

On receipt of EDI 947(warehouse inventory adjustment) I need to do various goods movements.When i tried to post the stock from QI status to Unrestricted Idoc is erroring out with (51) "Change the inspection stock of the material with QM only" ie i need to call a QM transaction (QA11 or QA32) to move the stock from QI to unrestricted.Is there any way to do without calling this transaction and directly change the status.Iam using message type MBGMCR/MBGMCR02.

I don't think it is possible. Are you passing a movement type? See if you can use any of the QI movement types.
