Delta failure from ODS to Cube: Repeat Delta

Former Member

Hi all,

I have the following problem: I loaded a delta from an ODS to cube and it failed. The QM Status is red. Should I delete this request and repeat a Delta load from the ODS to the cube? Will it bring in all the records that it brought the first time over?

Please help.

Thanks,

Ashmith Roy

Hi,

Make sure u make the total status as red in the monitor screen--which intimates the source system that the delta is not picked up.

Then delete the request by turning the QM status to red.

run the infopackage again.

It will pop a screen asking for repeat delta.

accept it and schedule the load.

Ranganath,

Should I delete the failed request or is it okay to leave it like it is?

Thanks,

Hi Roy

Delete the failed request if added and transferred records 0. Then schedule it.

Hi Ashmith,

Suppose say u have loaded the new request without deleting the failed request.

The load goes fine . But activation fails because it doesnot allow activation with a bad request in the queue.

Hi Ashmith,

Goto the Data Target, and drop the invalid request.

Goto the InfoPackage corresponding to it and re-schedule the load.

Accept the REPEAT DELTA dialog box.

As long as u make the request green and reload the next delta u will not lose the old delta.

so just delete the invalid request and reload

Hope this Helps
