Hi all,
This issue has been reported many times and with all the SCN-solutions/tips and OSS notes available, the problem still persists in our BW system.
We recently went from BW 7.3 SP7 to SP12, after which this problem started to show up. It's the exact problem as mentioned in note 1897899:
http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1897899
This note however, has been applied in SP11 and the coding is already present in our system.
Has anyone experienced the same, or should I create a support message with SAP?
Thanks,
Eduard
Hi all,
Maybe it will be helpful for someone, we faced the same issue and turned out that in "Execute" tab of DTP, the settings for updating Overall state was set to manual. After changing it, the DTP worked just fine.

SK

Hi Ebrantjes,
Is the loading happening to cube?
If yes try to manually change the status...You might get a dump
Then check RSMDATASTATE table, field AGGREXIST...if it is not flagged this issue can happen...

Hi Eduard,
Please try to implement the SAP Notes 2003024 and 1929606 if the RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH is not called automatically by the DTP variant.
This should fix your problem.
Thanks and Regards,
Raghu

See if anything in the below composite note helps,
2093582 - Composite note for hanging DTP processes in Process Chains
If the notes mentioned are below your SPs please raise an OSS message with SAP.
Thanks,
Raghu
Hi,
See though the technical status is green sometimes dtp may behave obnormally.
so to overcome such cases we use the above function module to turn overall status to green.
