Hello all

NWBC 5.0 PL3 is installed and we are facing following Problem:

When you open the NWBC 5.0 for the first time, the System Selection window doesn't show the folders (explorer view) section:

This is what displayed:

(all systems in a row)

But we want this as default ("Explorer View"):

any parameter available for the SAPUILandscapeOnServer.xml to set?

regards, patrick

Hi Patrick,

there is no option or parameter to change the default of this view. The user can change it and this setting is stored as local user setting of the system selection dialog. The next time he starts NWBC the settings dialog will show the persisted view type, but there is no option to set this as an administrator and role out to the end users.

SAPUILandscape does not contain any client UI specific data. It is only designed for system landscape and folder structures to represent the system landscape in the connected clients.

Thomas

Hi Thomas

Thank you for your reply..

But somewhere,the NWBC stores this information. Maybe we can find out whitch registry entry is involved on this "toggle"?

Because, we rollout the NWBC 5.0 PL3 in our Citrix Platform. Every User (>500) must be trained on this to find out how to change this view. Because they may think: "hey, this NWBC 5.0 looks the same as before". And no one changes because they don't now how or whatever.

Best Regards,

Patrick

Hi Thomas

I've found the corresponding Parameter in File:

Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\NWBC\SystemSelectionDialogNwbcSettings.dll.settings

value="true" name="TreeViewChecked" />

value="SHOWALLWORKSPACES" name="LastUsedWorkspace" />

Hi Patrick,

yes the setting is persisted there, but this is done within the windows user folder. This is usually not the way to distribute the settings in your company and at the moment there is no regular way to do this.

It is a decision of the product responsibles if there will be an additional admin setting for this UI button in one of the following patches.
