SAP Solution manager custom metrics for Sybase

Dear All,

Recently our of our systems had already twice problem with procedure cache size parameter. I have been asked to try to put in alerting in Solution Manager template for Sybase.

We are running Sybase 15.7. I found a way to create new metric but then I am a bit lost on how to get:

sp_monitorconfig "procedure cache size"

into the template from Sybase. Can you help ?

    After looking through the default template it looks like everything is a Data Collector Type of RFC (pull), the Data Collector Name should be 1 of the following 3:

    Database Alerts

    Database Alerts Generic

    DB Alert Message

    I would try Database Alerts first and try the bufferpool parameter ID with a value of sp_monitorconfig.

    I don't have Sybase as an option to validate, but I'm interested in know what I mentioned does when applied to the DB?
