No Landscape Data found for SID: SMT00002~ABAP

HI everyone!

I recently installed Solution Manager 7.1 , and upgrade it from SPS04 to SPS12. Now I am doing solman_setup and I am in Basic Configuration step "Configure Automatically". I got an error during "Basic DPC configuration"  saying:

"Exception while configuring basic DPC

No Landscape Data found for SID: SMT00002~ABAP"

How can I resolve this issue?

I am new to basis and I would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

My proposal is:

Due to your installation with initial support package 04, you have in LMDB 3 entries for your "SMT" - system: one for java instance an two for abap instances. One of this two abap instances is obsolet and you can delete it via "Managed systems configuration" in transaction SOLMAN_SETUP.

I guess, that in LMDB for the instance with Long-SID "SMT00002" for "SMT00002~ABAP" you will find no valid details. Typically there is the second instance with Long-SID "SMT" with all valid details. So you can delete the instance with Long-SID "SMT00002".

You do this via "Systems Operations"->"Maintain System".

On Details System Screen follow: "Advanced" -> "Delete Technical System from LMDB".

You can ignore the offer/proposal of "Decommisioning" of the instance. So you can ignore all acitivities to deregister the instance from any processes, because it is not involved in any Solution Manager processes due to the invalid/incomplete details.

Kind regards,

Christoph
