Difference between notified output lines and real output in the report

Hello,

After refreshing a BO webi report we could see 9000000 rows from the query result in the data tab. The partial result icon is displayed in the status column as well. However when the same report is extracted in excel it shows only 4000 something rows in the output. Could you please explain this behavior ?

We are on BO 4.1 sp5.

how many rows can you see in the report table or cross tab? 4000 or more?

I can see 4200 approx. rows to be specific. Is it because the displayed data in the report is only a part of what is fetched from the query?

Yes,it's depend on the aggregation and how many fields are dragged in the table to see the level of data.

e.g query fetched 1000 rows but in the report you can see 20 rows only.This is depend on the objects and aggregation.if you can see 20 rows in the report and same is coming in the excel 20 then it should be fine.

For partial result uncheck the option in control tab in universe and also check in the webi query properties if rows limit is enabled.

Thanks for your response. The query properties has these options unchecked, I will check at the universe level.
