Did you check CMOD as well to see if the enhancement is active as well ?

Go to SE38 include LBD11F0Q, and put a break point at line 41 i.e.

    * User exit
    call customer-function '001'

then run and see why it doesn’t go into your exit.

Glen Anthony might be on the right track.

This enhancement is called in include LBD11F0Q, form CHANGE_IDOC_VERSION.

Then CHANGE_IDOC_VERSION is called in LBD11F0T, form IDOC_CONVERT_VERSION_OUTBOUND.

There are conditions that prevent the call to CHANGE_IDOC_VERSION:

By any chance, has the idoc version (Check the idoc's control record) or the idoc version set in the outbound partner profiles (WE20) changed?

    • Where did you set your breakpoint EXACTLY ? Because in the source code screen shot I see that this will only be called when F_EXCEPTION-MSGTY is initial. Is this the case in debug ?

Try set it in IDOC_CONVERT_VERSION_OUTBOUND just before the form GET_TARGET_VERSION is called. (see also comments Danny Lacerte)

      How did you test/debug this ? with WE19 ?

      Also the comments say:

      * Removes data segments from t_idoc_data that do not exist in the

      * IDoc-type specified for the receiver in the outbound partner profile.

Has the target IDoc changed maybe ? Because that is checked first in IDOC_CONVERT_VERSION_OUTBOUND (in function module: ALE_IDOC_SERVICES_APPLY_OUT

    Hi

This exit should belong to ALE00001 enhancement project..Try to verify from CMOD , with F4 help search -> Repository System Search-> All Selections -> Exit Functions if your EXIT exist in any enhancement project,

Try to verify if is all active.

Please report an screen snapshot if you want.

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for your help, Activating and deactivating the Enhancement got the issue resolved.

There was some upgrade activity that happened in the system, which caused this issue.
