Hi,
In Administration->Utilities->Manual Master Data Series Converter, there is a field Convert to Series (dropdown field).
Where and how do I define Series?
Thanks.
Hi,
This is a function to convert from manual series to specific series which are defined in Administration / System Initialization / Document Numbering.
It is used for upgrading system from old version (which has only manual series) to version 9.0 & 9.1 (which allows you to define your own format code).
Hope this helps,

Thanks. This definitely helps.
But how are you able to set up 2 series with overlapping numbers?
In the above screenshot, all the series except FA are having First No. as 1.
I was able to successfully define 1 series. When I tried to add 1 more series with overlapping number, I got the error 'Series 'RKSer2' overlaps object items'.
Ok. I was able to define multiple series with overlapping numbers by using unique Prefix or Suffix.
This works for Items.
But when I try to set up series with overlapping numbers for AR Invoices (I gave a different Prefix), I get the error: 'Series Primary overlaps object A/R Invoices'
Why is it so?
Are overlapping series with different prefix / suffix supported only for Masters?
Hi,
For numbering series of documents, prefixes and suffixes are relevant for printing only. For numbering series of master data, prefixes and suffixes help avoid overlaps with other series.
