Regarding Usage of “EXTENSIBILITY” buttons in the SRM7 for custom enhacement

Hello  All,

We are facing issue in enhancing SAP standard component configuration in SRM , below is the details ,

Scenario: Addition of custom button at the RFx Header Level in SRM Server  713.

Issue :  When we tried to add the button by enhancing  “ Component Configuration “/SAPSRM/WDCC_FPM_OIF_RFQ_PR_PU” “   I saw buttons with name “EXTENSIBILITY1” to “EXTENSIBILITY16” , so I tried of using one these button to achieve my functiallity  ,but when add my own text and event id , in the portal  all the “Buttons” are appearing  ie   “EXTENSIBILITY2” to “EXTENSIBILITY16” with my custom button.

Why so? Is these buttons are only for SAP internal use?  Or am following a wrong approach?.

I checked the SCN and Market place, but not got any hint , can you guys share your thoughts on the same?

Thanks and Regards

Channa

Hello Rohit,

Thanks for the reply ,

I have already checked these documents ,but my question is not related to process to be followed  instead about using "EXTENSIBILITY" buttons, if I use one , in the portal all the "EXTENSIBILITY" buttons are visible.

Thanks

Hi Channappa,

You are right, all are becoming visible if you make one visible.

May you can raise a message or you can make others invisible in configuration.

Hello Rohit,

We have to carry out changes on priority , so currently am adding new "Toolbar" element  ,but wanted to know is it the way SAP behave or some issue in the SAP code.

Thanks

Hi Channa,

Add the EXTENSIBILITY1 button in toolbar.

Now handle the metadata for visibility of others and make them invisible.

Open the metadata view for that BO and add the buttons properties there.

Hi Rohit,

I have already added a new Tool Bar Element  as a custom button ,that will be easy to do instead of maintaining 16 button metadata . But normally its said that we need to use the "Extensibility" buttons , so only wanted to check .

Thanks
