Different reorder point for specific material?

Hi SAP Experts,

Please allow me to ask a question.

Is it possibe to have different reorder point for specific material with different storage location?

The reorder point is based on its storage location.

Thank you.

James

    Hi,

As of now there is no such concept in the SAP based upon the storage location . Normally per its definition , reorder point is that point of stock where in we have to start procurement proposals for that material based upon the requirement

However there is a chance of automatic reorder point .with the usage of proper MRP types like V2/R2 etc

n automatic reorder point planning, both the reorder level and the safety stock level are determined by the integrated forecasting program.

The system uses past consumption data (historical data) to forecast future requirements. The system then uses these forecast values to calculate the reorder level and the safety stock level, taking the service level, which is specified by the MRP controller, and the material's replenishment lead time into account, and transfers them to the material master.

    Regards,

At MRP4 view you can control to plan a storage location separately with indicator 2 and there you have as well a field to enter a reorder point (see below point 3 in the screenshot
