Multiple version of sales quotation

Hi,

I would like to ask if is there anyway we can create multiple version of quotations under one quotation numbering?

Eg.

Customer is asking for two copies of quotation, but one with items breakdown, one without items breakdown.

How do we create two different version, but under same numbering?

We would like the quotation number to be like 2100001-1 , 2100001-2.

Any experts please advise me on these.

    Hi Low,

    You could probably do this with manual numbering, but such quotations would not actually be linked together in the system, and there would be a risk of the different quotations going out of sync.

    I recommend that you look at different ways of displaying / printing the same quotation instead.

      Thanks for your reply and suggestion.

      If I am going to use manual numbering, it will not works as what we desired.

      Manual numbering doesn't allow us to add in any symbol or alphabet.

      In this case, it will uses up two different numbering for two different versions.

      I also tried to create UDF in table to manage print results, but users were complaining that would take a lot of steps to complete one quotation, and it looks messy to chuck all under one quotation.

    Hi,

    I don't think it is possible to create multiple sales quotation. Such feature is available for split purchase order.

    Hi Experts,

    Since different versions of quotation under same quotation numbering is likely impossible.

    Is there any better suggestion for my case other than creating UDF for different display / printout in same quotation?
