GR55 Report set creation

Hi Experts!

I am in a rollout project and I am creating GR55 reports for my client looking at the legacy system.

Do we have an option to use to same SET for every row element yet get different values?

For example-

the old company is using XYZ set for all the assets and when i execute the report i am getting different values for all the rows and it is picking exactly how we want it to be,

But when i did the same thing... i am getting the same value populated for all the rows.

XYZ is a single set in which there are other single sub sets.

Please help! really stuck.

Hi Kamal!

I have to make a Balance sheet Gr55 for my client. As i already have a base I am trying to just work exactly how the old company is using. The sets and  everything.

For all the assets there is only one set assigned. Single Set- XYZ. But when i execute the report all the rows are populating different values. How can this happen when the same set is assigned to all the rows?

for Bank accounts - XYZ is assigned- But it is picking the right gl accounts and showing 45898

For Petty cash- XYZ is assigned again- but picking only petty cash account and showing USD

How is this possible? please help!

If you go to T code GS02/03 and analyse your single set for BS, will find subordinate set and each set is defined for one purpose and where GL value was assigned...like petty cash etc..but in top node set you will find only one set...

I have created all the sub sets as well. And as u rightly said it does have a final basic set which has a GL account. Now my question is how do i  make the set suppress for only few values in a particular row. How do it ask all the other sets not to populate the value for a row except for the one i want to?

have you assign your sub-sets in your main set?

yes i have assigned and the set hierarchy is also just as in my legacy.

sorry one thing I forget to remind...all your main set and sub-set will be single set but your final set where you assign the gl will be basic set then your issue will be solved..

Just design your requirements how many layer of single sets you required and final set will be your vale triggering  basic set

Yes i have already done that!

My first level set is a single set which has 5 to 6 single sets again. These single sets contain another set of basic sets. The basic set will have a range of GL accounts.

As per your explanation your hierarchy seems to be correct..now you want to suppress some of your sets in the report...at the right hand side of every set will find a tab SU if you ticked it may work as you want..or please revert back

If i do what you have told this will only supress the individual values in my report display! But these values will anyways be added to my total. And i have checked my legacy system and this is not done there!

I cannot attach the screen shot here its not solved. And i havent done anything new after this post as all that were suggested by you are already taken care of.

the problem again!

Bank accounts- XYZ set- balance 12345 being populated

Lock box receivables- XYZ set- balance 945 being populated

Petty case- XYZ set- 546 being populated

when the same set is assigned to all the rows how can they pick diff values.. Thats the question!

i understand that XYZ is a single set and other sub sets are assigned under them and finally they have Basic sets with values. How is it calling up the exact value when the same set is assigned to all the rows?

Hi kamal!

I had to give them last friday. so thought of a work around and assigned diff sets as per my GL. I have created basic sets and assigned the values directly. I dubt that they have used report writer total levels. But no time to do it that way now.
