Sales order not appearing in MD04

Hi Experts,

We are facing an issue on MD04 as follows:

We are creating a sales order with a particular material XYZ and this does no appear in MD04.  We have checked the material master and everything is OK.  The schedule line category is also OK and there is no reason for rejection on the sales order.

When we create another sales order with the same material, we have this new sales order in MD04.

Could anybody please help?

Thanks,

Vitish.

    Vitish,

For the offending Sales order item, check the Requirements type (VA03 > procurement tab).  What is it?  Also, is it the same as the Requirements of the 'good' sales order item?

    Best Regards,

    DB49

    • Hi DB49,

Thanks for your answers.  I am the ABAPer and I have debugged the enhancement.  Everything is fine in the enhancement.  It is just the material availability that is not working when the user is creating the sales order.  I have used his credentials and logged from my PC and created sales orders.  I did not get any issue.  The sales orders were found in MD04.  I will ask the user to re-install SAPGUI and will try again.

      Thanks,

      Vitish.

    • Hi Piwal,

      The sales order is complete.

The problem is that when I am creating the sales order with same material, we find the sales order in MD04.  But, when the other user creates a sales order with the same material, we do not find the sales order in MD04.  Furthermore, when I use the credentials of the other user and create a sales order with same material, we find the sales order in MD04.

      Thanks,

      Vitish.

Problem will be an acecss check in SU53 with user login and send to Basis Team

    • If it was an access check, I should have had the same problem when using the other user's login.  But, I did not get the problem.  The sales order was created and we find it in MD04.

    Vitish,

There should an issue with the other user doing the transaction.

As previously noted, please sit with the other user and ensure that he is doing the transaction the correct way. I suspect that the user is blocking the material view while creating the sales order. This can happen either without his knowledge or not knowing the process.

    Hi Friend,

Could you please check Material master in tab MRP 1 --> MRP type  should be "PD". If it is not there then it will not reflect you.

    Hope this will help you.

    Regards,

    Kundan

    Dear

It is quite possible--that same material entered in different sales orders

may (or )may not be visible in MD04.

As you are aware--availability check will happen based on plant(In Fact-Only one plant)

Also we can control the requirements passing to MRP based on the plant lying in MMR(Sales/General plant view)

    Example:

    1. X material in 1000/10/00 sales area--can have 01(daily requirements) in MMR(Sales/General plant view) with plant P1.

2.Same X material in 1000/10/00 sales area can have 02(individual requirements) in MMR with Plant P2..

Hope when you are trying with other user with positive effect--FIND THE PLANT & SALES AREA-accordingly see the MMR settings..

    Hope this helps.
