Work Status Customization - Multi-level approval

Hi All,

I have a requirement where we need to allow for multip level approval. Consider below hierarchy in entity dimension

ID PARENTH1 OWNER

A_CC1 B_CC Unit_Manager1

A_CC2 B_CC Unit_Manager2

B_CC C_CC Area_Manager1

C_CC D_CC Regional_Manager1

D_CC Business Manager

Now, the base level members are only A_CC1 and A_CC2 basically the plants (cost_centers), B_CC being the area, C_CC being a region and D_CC a dummy cost_center being mantained for overall head, business manager.

How can we customize work status so that once unit manager submits the data, it gets locked for unit manager and goes for approval to area manager. Only area manager will have the access to plan data. Once area manager submits, it should get locked for him and should go to regional manager for approval.

Has someone done this customization before. Any thoughts please?
