Hi Experts ,

I am working with a manufacturing company and co.code currency is INR. I got an assignment to add GBP,USD,and EUR to add to some of the GL accounts..Is it possible to add with a GL accounts. No I guess.I think we can do it only through FS00..Can anyone share your knowledge with me to get it fixed. How can I assign multiple currencies to a co.code so that they can post the entry with any of these currencies.?

Your concern in this regard is appreciated.

Hi Shyam,

You can activate parallel currency for your company. SAP allow you to have 4 currencies in 1 company which is Document Currency, Local Currency, 2nd Local Currency and 3rd Local Currency. For 2nd and 3rd Local Currency, you can select your prefer currency. When you post transaction, SAP will update all currency based on configuration and exchange rate that you maintain in OB08.

Dear Shyam,

1. GL account created with Company code currency will allow you to post with multiple foreign currency; provide the exchage rate for USD, GBP,EUR to INR is maintained in OB08.

2. G/L account created with Foreign currencty eg: USD, you can post only with USD currency to that particular account.

For your case you can take the option one, since muntiple currency transaction is requested by client, make sure that you maintain the exchange rate in OB08, so that system will automatically calculate the INR equivalent when you are posting with other currency other than your company code currency.
