Move DC from one SC to another SC within the same track

Hi,

I want to move a DC from one SC to another SC. I followed the instruction as described in SAP Note 888969 - How to Move a DC from one SC to another.

Unfortunately I got stuck in the following step:

> Checkin and activate the activity containing this newly added .dcref file.

When I try to activate the activity it fails with following message:

How can I resolve this issue? Or do I missed anything, which hasn't been mentioned in the SAP Note?

Try deleting the old dc from the dtr web-ui : " http://<host>:<port>/dtr "

The dc should be present in the root 'active' directory.

Once this is successfully deleted, then try to follow the note and activate the activity.

This should work i guess.

thanks for your help!

First I have deleted the sources and DC-Ref file of the DC from the old SC. And afterwards I have activated the DC in the new SC.

This solved the issue.

Hi Mario,

The note more or less describes the move of the DC in NWDI.

But I think your error telling you something about compartments is realted to your NWDS (local) stuff.

If you can verify in DTR (online in NWDI) that your DC has arrived in the target SC, tehn I would delete the projects (DCs) in your local NWDS and make sure contents on disk is removed also.

After that resync (create project) from NWDI to your local NWDS again and you should be done.
