Hello Experts,
We would need to update one of our customer on offline capabilities of FIORI application in days ahead. At present we are building few custom applications as well as extending few standard applications for the customer. Now our questions are as mentioned below.
1) Can we have offline capabilities added to the above said FIORI applications at later stages when the offline feature is available in FIORI client? If it is possible, can it be done with minimal code infusion to the existing FIORI applications?
2) Is there a timeline from SAP for the availability of offline capability in FIORI client?
The more details we get on these two questions , it would be immensely beneficial for us.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Regards,
Diptanu Roy

here is the answer:
With SMP, a native application like the SAP Fiori Client can easily leverage the offline OData capabilities offered by the server. With those offline capabilities implemented in a smart way, a web application like Fiori can easily switch to offline OData without requiring modifications to the application’s code.

Hi,
I am also dealing with this kind of questions right now. Could you find any answers elsewhere?
I am especially interested, whether all Standard and existing Fiori Apps automatically support offline capabilities once you use SMP or not?
Thanks,
Wladimir
