then running SAP GUI Setting ,return Error code :2

What version and patchlevel of the GUI is installed?

OS version: windows 7

SAP Version: SAP GUI for windows 7.30

Please try a reinstall of the SAPGUI. There is an error in the control file sapfewcp.

1.     Start -> Control panel -> Programs and features SAPGUI for Windows 7.30 double-click to remove.

2 - After this, please make sure that the folder

   c:\program files\SAP\Frontend is properly removed. Otherwise delete

it manually.

3 - Re-install the 730 with patch 10

Please let me know if this issue arises after the above procedure.

I am getting the same error, except with SAP 7.40.  I am trying to install it on a Windows 7 32 bit computer for a user.  It comes up with that error, but after I click on the OK button, it opens the program.

I don't want to go through the pain of manually adding in all of those entries only to find that it doesn't work.

Is there a fix for this?

I've gotten this before where a gui install became corrupted.

Best option is to reinstall.

You can run a clean install by running nwsapsetup /uninstall /all /nodlg  from the run menu, and then reboot.
