Cannot install SAP Mobile SDK 3.0

Hello Colleagues,

I'm suffering a problem that doesn't let me install the Mobile SDK, I always see the following Error:

The Vital Product Data registry is in use by another installer. Please start this installer after the other installer has finished.

I have no clue of what program is the issue related with. Can anyone help me to solve this issue?, any workaround.

I have tried SDK 3.0 SP04, SDK 3.0 SP05 and SDK 3.0 3.0 PL01 ( Mac version ).

Best regards.

try deleting the InstallShield\SMPClient directory found in your user's home directory

    Then try the jar again

    Worked for me 😊

    • Hello Kiran,

If I execute in the terminal: echo $SDK_HOME, nothing appears.

Regarding the other part of your suggestion, if I execute:

ps -aux, the response is: ps: No user named 'x'

Regarding the other part, what should I insert instead of name???. I have tried with my Userid and there is only a process called: login -pf myuserid, this is the one that I have to kill?.

      Thanks and regards.
