Inbox appears without CA_POWL

Hi All,

I gave Application Configuration GRAC_FPM_AC_LPD_HOME with Webdynpro applciation GRFN_SERVICE_MAP. So, My home screen appears as expected, with Work Inbox. i click this Work Inbox, and it opens up. There are no auth. objects in my role.

So, could you say, what purpose does CA_POWL play? without this object, user is able to open Inbox. So, is/why CA_POWL required ?

Hi Plaban,

CA_POWL is a cross application authorization object that restricts access to the entire POWL* iViews within the NWBC tabs (similar to S_TCODE). POWL stands for Personal Object Work List. Examples are GRAC_SOD_FUNCTION for Functions, GRAC_SOD_RULESET for Ruleset, GRAC_SODRISK for Access Risks, etc.

For the inbox GRFN_INBOX is used.

have just tested in my dev environment and it seems that CA_POWL isn't required for inbox to be displayed. Hence no need to define.

Hi Alessandro,

There is no words to describe your efforts, you make for others.

I had also tested the same and got same result. However, clicking on Work inbox gives trace value GRFN_INBOX. So, was confused.

I am trying for my requirement of putting 'Work Inbox' in 'End user Login' page. So, i will update if i stuck.

Please let me know when you stuck. I have also tested a different scenario and also this works without CA_POWL.
